YARN LOVE

On Friday night Jen and Little Micheal came for an unexpected visit. The fact that they had to start on antibiotics after using our bathrooms is completely forgivable because I didn't have much notice of the visit, right? Right?

We had a blast. It was neat staying up like 12 year olds discussing issues like white privilege and the circus that is our government, and how to survive motherhood without acting like a two year old. I graciously allowed her to help me fix my knitting (twice) because I love her and didn't want her to be bored. :)

Before they left we headed out to the Yardgoods where Jen turned me on to the most wonderful yarn EVER. It's wool, but it feels like silk. Here is the diaper cover I made out of it. I almost knit it in one day, but I gave up at midnight figuring that it wouldn't really count as one day anyway and finished it today.
I went back to get some yellow but they didn't have any and couldn't find the book to order it. It was suggested that I buy the natural color and try to cool aid dye it. I don't know how bright it will be using lemonade cool aid but I think I'll give it a go.

Here are two other covers that I made using Cascade 220. I love the purple one. I put a diaper in the pink and orange to give a more realistic view of what they will look like.

Oh my GOSH don't you just LOVE the Malabrigo? Don't you?! I would never steer you wrong. I'm so so happy that you love it as much as I do.

And that wrap looks FANTASTIC. You knit them so fast I might just have to commission a couple from you...when you have time ;)
