TODAY'S RACKET

McDonalds has coupons out for a free chicken sandwich when you buy a medium or large drink. We have a stack of them to use up. The iced tea is only $1 for 32 ounces so I bought three large cups of iced tea, no ice, and a large ice coffee, also no ice. I brought it all home and put it in the fridge, and froze the chicken for use at a later date. It would make great chicken parm! mmmm

Click here for the coupon Mmmmmmm

When we pulled up to the window at McDonalds the boy was literally hanging out holding the four large beverages. He said, "I am holding in my hands enough liquid to drown you internally! I learned that in my anatomy class!"

"Okay, uh, thanks?" I said.

Then he handed us our chicken and said, "That was really creepy. I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said that, cause it was really creepy."

Yes kid, you used your OUTSIDE voice. Those are the things we say with our INSIDE voice. Better luck next time.

By the way, the whole inside/outside voice sayings is one of my favorite. I first learned it when the State Police Detective came to my house on foster care related business. He said some very kind things about us and our home, which was really sweet. Later he had some really nasty things about the then current caseworker, followed by, "Oh crap, was that my outside voice?" hehehe

We had a weird guy stalk us at McDonald's today. I guess it is their employees and guests. Thanks for the coupon!

I can't believe I hadn't found your blog before this! I know I've seen "innocent observer" leave comments on other blogs but I must not have clicked through. FOUR YEARS. OH WOW. I want to help you. I don't know if I can but I want to help you find your kid(s). This is insane. no family or child should have to wait that long....but I know they do. My kids all waited. I waited. We all wait. It is wrong. Let's tackle this thing. email me at tmjbstark at aol.com and we can talk about the kids you feel comfortable parenting and I will see if there are any in MN. Also, check out AdoptAmericaNetwork. They having matching specialists to volunteer to match kids with families like yours. Totally free. And thanks for donating your entry for the pillow to me. You SO don;t have to do that and if you win, I want you to keep it!!
