There has been one person at the state who I hadn't given up hope on. There have been a few questions about his honestly but I thought, he's just being a guy, and perhaps misunderstanding what was happening in certain situations, because, you know, he's a guy.
Not that long ago I asked for respite and he never got back to me. He claimed later that he was on vacation that week. Okay, I let that one go. This past Monday I emailed him again for respite. No response. I should note that in the email I also gave a heads up that I would need to reschedule a meeting that was to take place on Friday. I didn't even have the energy to call and fight about it, but Gary was insistent, so while driving I handed him my cell phone and instructed him to call.
Dingleberry got all flustered when he realized that it was Gary on the phone and said as much. He told him he thought he was answering the call of someone else. Then he said, "I never got the email." Okay, then how do you know we sent one? Anyway, he said to get respite now it would need to be an emergency blah blah blah but would he try. Gary told him to email when he had an answer. He emailed back and had respite set. Great.
Wednesday night I emailed him to cancel the meeting for sure, and because he doesn't seem to get my emails (whatever!) I also left him a voice mail and explained that I wasn't able to get in touch with the other participant because I didn't know her direct extension or her email. This was about 11 pm. Just to be sure I planned on waiting until the office opened the next morning to call through to her voice mail. Only she answered, and seemed to be expecting my call, because Dingleberry told her that I needed to reschedule, but she wasn't sure what Dingleberry's schedule looked like because he wasn't in yet. So we are left with two choices as to how she had this information. Either Dingleberry checked his messages at 11pm and called her at home, or Dingleberry is a BIG FAT LYING LIAR and got the email on Monday. Which do you think it is?
