I went to school in a large district and experienced some interesting things on the bus. Girl fights, a boy who tried to grab every girl he could until I told the principal on him, ..and that was only middle school. But then I worked as a receptionist in an insurance agency in a large city for a year, and guess what? People are not always kind and patient. Some of them are downright mean. The insurance customers, AND the city bus riders... The people closest to our children love them and are good and always have their best interests in mind in all their dealings with them. But in "real life", it just is not so. (I also have ridden a subway in Boston...talk about rude people...okay, not everyone in Boston is rude, but...eeks!) So in my reference to the bus being like the real world, I was simply pointing out that the world is not all sunshine and comfort, and as much as I want to protect my kids from the hard knocks, I believe some exposure to it is helpful.16 blessings'momhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00611246330849334850noreply@blogger.com
