Credit Card Tricks

I don't often give advice because I rarely feel like I have an original idea. However I do have a few tricks up my sleeve that you may not have heard of yet.

For many years we lived without credit cards. We had a debit card and cash. The end. Then a friend mentioned using credit cards for rewards and we began to do some investigating. Now we have several credit cards, but we have yet to pay a penny for them. Like many other things in my life, I prefer it when they pay me.

If you have any issues with procrastination when it comes to paying bill, or self control when ti comes to spending, then this game isn't for you. If those aren't your issues, keep reading.

The credit cards we have all have rewards points on them. The points can then be converted into cash at the end of the month.

We pay for everything with the credit card. Everything. Utilities, food, even the 12 cent transactions at CVS. Every purchase is recorded just as we would with a bank card, and we do not spend money that we don't have. Then at the end of the month I made a deposit into the checking account for the balance on the cards, then I go online and pay the bill.

Every so often I check the rewards, and when it reaches $50 I kindly request a check. We received $60 last month from one card, and $100 from another. Over the years we have received hundreds of dollars (Gary thinks it averages out to $800 every year)just for using the plastic instead of actual cash.
